Docklow Pools offers a quiet beautiful fishery set in tranquility of 110 acres of countryside in the north of Herefordshire, near the borders of Shropshire & Worcestershire. The perfect setting for fishing memories.

In October 2022 we celebrated 50 years of Docklow Pools. Docklow Pools is established as the oldest fishery in the country! It’s argued to be the very first commercial fishery in the UK, if not the best idyllic!

So we must be doing something right to have customers returning year after year to enjoy great times including fishing, accommodation and food.

Short breaks are a minimum of 3 nights and there are 57 properties to choose from. Possibilities cater from 1 bedroom to 3 bedroom properties.

It is important to note we are an adult (18+) only holiday venue.

We offer Four private river stretches across the county, two of which are on the famous River Wye for barbel. Additionally on the productive River Teme and for trotting on the river Lugg.

Our season starts 1st April to the end of October – Predominately, Docklow Pools is a “weekly” holidays venue although 6 places can be rented for a minimum of 3 days (see short breaks).

Of the 57 property options, certain ones are restricted for male only parties. (It’s NOT because all male parties may leave them in a bad way. We expect all our cottages to be looked after regardless of the person staying). The reason for having “couples only” places is purely to ensure Docklow has a nice balance of men and women holidaying together.

There are lots of choices for everyone. Premier or Traditional. Short breaks or weekly. Bungalows or cottages. In a small group or coming on your own. We can do it all!

WINTER CHOICES: We work to the same arrangements from End of October through to the weekend before Easter. Stays are considered on all properties that aren’t leased for a 6 month period (called Winter lets – ask for details), for a minimum 2 nights. Will look at most sensible things in the winter months.
